Help with secondary profession - Guild Wars Forums

I've decided to go Monk as primary, but can't decide what as secondary. I've narrowed the choices between element and mesmer.

What do you guys think would be the best pairing? Basically I'd chose element for damage and AoE, and would go for mesmer, but Im not sure, i haven't really played a class in a MMORPG based on control.

Thoughts??

define your role

do u want to be a healer, damage dealer, etc. then pick a second prof that could help you solidify that role. and there're many ways to do it. look at the skill sets and see what fits you best. you can experiment with the 2nd prof in pre-searing first (as long as u don't commit).

it totally depends on your style of play.

If you're going to be a healer, then choose whichever profession has better energy management techniques.
